Measuring Impact for Charities Livestream

How do you measure impact in your charity?

Join us for a livestream interview with Leah Katerberg, Vice-President of Programs and Partnerships for Yonge Street Mission, who will introduce TIMES, a robust human transformation framework developed by YSM in 2016. This framework informs the ways in which YSM supports individuals and communities by measuring progression across various domains of wellbeing. After a number of years using this tool internally, YSM has made it available for agencies and charities to use both for internal impact measurement as well as a shared goal of aggregate data and analysis. Measurement leads to shared learnings, stronger advocacy, and ultimately transformative system and policy change.

Leah provides leadership to YSM’s program areas, which focus on street-involved youth, families in need, adults experiencing chronic poverty and residents living in Neighbourhood Improvement Areas (NIAs), with the latter addressed through YSM’s community development initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in poverty alleviation and economic development, Leah is inspired and motivated by seeing people progress from surviving to thriving. She has worked to address poverty-related issues both in Canada and internationally, including founding a non-profit to advance education opportunities for disadvantaged children in Tanzania. Prior to YSM she held senior leadership and executive roles within the development sector, and applies her strong background in results measurement to her work at YSM. Leah holds a BComm in economics and an MSc in planning and development.

If you’re a member of the Stronger Philanthropy Community, open your app at 2 pm Eastern on Tuesday, September 17, and you will be able to join the livestream feed.
